Ambition

What makes some people happy or successful, while others seem to struggle for every little bit of happiness or success they manage to find?
I’ve often wondered what makes a person have enough ambition and nerve to go after what they want, full speed ahead, in spite of their circumstances.
Oprah is a good example of these people. How, I say HOW, did she manage to make it to the top in light of her traumatic childhood?
If we could just bottle some of that and sell it, we could all be happy and successful. Hopefully we would use our success to help others, as Oprah does.
Meanwhile, we must try to learn, seek wisdom, and continue on our quest.
One of my new methods is “harmony,” and by harmony, I mean…
The practice of staying in the presence of God.
I’d like to try some new things too… I need to discover my purpose at this stage of the game… after all, I’m in my fifties, so I had better do whatever it is I am supposed to do, right?
Have you ever heard of the Silva Method?
Jose Silva, who passed away in 1999, was ahead of his time. He was training people in meditation and creative visualization before we ever heard the words.
Now his daughter has taken over and is selling his products.
I’ve read about them for years, and always wanted to give them a try. Could it be that the power of suggestion is causing the positive results? Anything’s possible. But if it works, then that’s a good thing.
His methods are endorsed by highly regarded people such as Jack Canfield and Dr. Wayne Dyer. Having read their books, I certainly appreciate their recommendation.
Scientific research backs up Silva Method findings…
…The Three Fingers Technique (one of the popular Silva techniques) is able to facilitate short-term improvement in second high school students’ examination performance.” The students who had learned the Three Fingers Technique improved their scores by nine percentage points.”
~ Dr. Harry E. Shanton from University of Tasmania in Australia
Please leave comments if you’ve tried it… if you haven’t,
