Subconscious Connections

We are drawn to people who have had similar emotional experiences, and this is not always a good thing. Hopefully, we can learn how to stop being drawn to people because of these shared emotions.

These emotional experiences, especially the negative ones, are hiding in our subconscious minds, ready to stand up and be noticed when a familiar facet of the previous incident appears.

The subconscious mind stores details of events with appropriate emotional triggers that it logically groups together. Even though an event might trigger fear at age 3 but would not at age 30, the event is still stored as a negative memory based on the mind’s ability of logic at age 3.

It is up to us to “clear” these memories and not have them triggered to stand up and be counted from the subconscious level by life’s current events.

For instance, one of my past relationships was a true mystery to me. I could not understand why I was drawn to someone whom I had absolutely nothing in common with. It was something I couldn’t explain, and so I decided it was a “heart” thing. It was mystical and romantic and I just accepted it.

Several years into the relationship, he revealed a secret part of his life, which was an event that had happened to me also.

BINGO! Not so mystical after all.

I didn’t realize it then, but now I know that we were drawn to each other because of the hurt and pain of nearly identical events, especially those that occurred during childhood. We recognize each other based on emotions and feelings that we share on a subconscious level.

We felt better being together than we did apart, but it did not last. It could not last, because the relationship was built on negative energy resulting from negative emotions that were buried in our subconscious.

So how can I protect myself from such relationships in the future?

Dr. Hew Len says…

The Divinity knows our connection with people we have not yet met, and whatever memories we have in common with them, and which are important for us to let go of.

Dr. Len further states, and I agree, that it is our memories in our subconscious minds that makes our judgments and decisions for us, based on “stored” memories and triggers.

Therefore, it is up to us to ask God to help us remove all blocks, errors, memories and problems so that we can be clear to receive Divine inspiration and follow the correct path.
