Allowing Total Healing

Is it enough to just ask for healing? Yes, and no.

Healing is free and we all deserve to be healed and live a full life so that we can be of service to others.

However, sometimes there are blocks that keep us from allowing total healing. It is not because the healing is not freely available. It is because something is not “right” in the asking, the receiving, or the allowing of healing.

Here is what I have discovered from personal experience.

As I ask for healing, I realize that I must do more than ask. I must first purge myself from any blocks I may have subconsciously built. The concept that one would not want to be fully healed and whole is perplexing, but we humans are complicated masses of energy on many levels, and all of those energies must work together or they work against each other.

We are spiritual beings experiencing the being-ness of humanity. We are mind, body and spirit.

Within mind, body and spirit, we also have emotions, logic and the heart, which is the seat of the soul. Our hearts are capable of unconditional love, if and when all of the energies are in balance.

Some of us “feel” more out of place in this world than others. My soul seems to long for a place that I cannot remember, yet know as home. The chaos of a typical day spent among business activities has always left me with a sense of wastefulness and emptiness. Until now.

I now realize that I cannot be whole until and unless I am willing to fully participate in the human experience and not live as isolated island in the midst of mankind.

I must be willing to walk among this earth in the midst of those who may not be tuned in to their spirituality.

I must be willing to participate fully. The Bible says that we do not light a candle to then hide it under a bush. Yet, that is similar to what I have been wanting to do. I have wanted to be healthy and whole, without wanting to shine my light to anyone I didn’t choose to.

Humility, universality, tolerance, unconditional love and acceptance are concepts that need to be embraced if we are to be whole as individuals.

If any of this resonates within your heart, feel free to contact me and together we can start to heal completely.

Ho'oponopono

Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian tradition of forgiveness and reconciling broken and/or damaged relationships.

But my interpretation of Ho’oponopono after practicing the process more than a few times, is that it is a wonderful cleansing of the soul. I feel refreshed, renewed and healed of emotional hurts every time I do it.

It is a simple prayer and meditation during which you use the following phrases…

I’m sorry
Please forgive me
I love you
Thank you

I have seen the order of these phrases in various forms, but this is the order that seems to suit me best.

I read recently about how to use this prayer to God and to yourself. I tried it and it was quite fulfilling.

Dear God,

Please forgive me…. for doubting when I should have had faith, for not living up to my divine potential yet, for worrying about the future, for holding on to my own mistakes and faults to the point that they have paralyzed my growth, and for causing you offense in any way.

I’m sorry… that it has taken me over 50 years to recognize the wisdom of forgiveness and the healing that can take place once we truly forgive others and ourselves, for not always doing and saying the right thing, and for my slow maturity process.

I love you as I loved my own earthly father, and I cherish all of my brothers and sisters that you have given me around the world.

Thank you God, for this magnificent planet and all the beauty you have provided for us, for the ever increasing love in our hearts, and for the guidance, mercy and grace you provide to us daily.

It is my prayer to live in harmony with God and with all mankind.

Amen.

To experience Ho’oponopono for yourself, watch the following YouTube video. Simply watch and read the phrases as you view the beauty and hear the harmony. You can direct the meditation to God,  to yourself, or to anyone you have hurt or been hurt by… they do not need to be present. It’s a spiritual cleansing.

More information on Ho’oponopono can be found at There is a Way.

This beautiful site also has a meditation / prayer on a small video player that leads you specifically through breathing and praying… bringing you into harmony with the Creator.

The prayer in their video is directed to “Dear Father.”

Ho’oponopono is not a religion.
