Chime In News for Social Media

There’s no doubt about it, social media is no longer emerging as a viable method of communication allowing  people to connect and communicate anything and everything they want to, it has definitely arrived.

Facebook allows us to connect with friends, family, causes and organizations as we share our lives.

Twitter allows us to keep up with whomever we choose – one little blurb at a time.

Linked In provides a networking base for professionals.

Friend Feed  can help us bring all of these social media sites together.

Google+  allows you to create different circles of friends, family and associates.

You Tube  allows us to share our favorite videos.

Of course there are more, but the most recent social media site of interest is Chime.In. Chime In allows us to follow our interests, which then leads us to new people with whom we share a common interest.

Chime In, according to Huffington Post, is going to allow revenue sharing, which is another option that makes it unique among currently popular social media sites.

If you use Twitter, then you know how often you need a shorter url to tweet. This particular service is permanent.

Many of the tiny url services are temporary… which is ok, but I prefer to use a permanent link, so I can paste it into my notes and use it again.
